Sport Clips Racing is proud to enter its fourth season (2012) as a partner with Joe Gibbs Racing and will serve as the primary sponsor of NASCAR's Denny Hamlin's # 11 Sprint Cup car in the 2012 Spring Darlington race and its companion Nationwide event. Hamlin will also pilot four additional Nationwide Series races including Texas Motor Speedway in April, Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July and Richmond International Raceway in September. Logano will pilot the No. 20 Sport Clips Toyota in two Nationwide Series events including the July race at Daytona International Speedway, and in late September at Dover International Speedway.

The Sport Clips 2011 sponsorship program with JGR finished a successful six race season, collecting two Nationwide wins (Denny Hamlin in Richmond and Joey Logano at Daytona) and a number of other successful runs. Sport Clips also sat on the pole with JGR Developmental Driver Drew Herring at Iowa Speedway.

Denny Hamlin

2012 marks Denny Hamlin’s seventh full season behind the wheel of the #11 FedEx Toyota Camry. Considered one of the all-time greatest late model drivers in the Virginias and Carolinas, Denny Hamlin is a bona fide superstar in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. In 2011, Hamlin made the Chase for the sixth straight year placing 9th overall in points. Hamlin had fourteen top 10 finishes, including a victory at Michigan in late June. Hamlin also turned on the heat by winning both his charity event and Nationwide Series race at the Richmond International Raceway in late April. Denny recorded a season-high eight race wins in 2010 to nearly capture the 2010 series title. The 2006 Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year became the first rookie to ever qualify for the Chase for the Sprint Cup and has qualified for the Chase in each year he’s been racing NASCAR’s most elite level. The longest-tenured driver at Joe Gibbs Racing, Hamlin piloted his No.11 FedEx car to victory in the 2006 Budweiser Shootout at Daytona and amassed two wins during his rookie season. He continues to be a race win contender at every stop on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Denny Hamlin Foundation

Hamlin helps to raise awareness and funding for the specific needs of chronically ill children afflicted with Cystic Fibrosis and other debilitating illnesses through his Denny Hamlin Foundation. Away from the track Denny stays active– whether playing basketball or working out – and spending time with friends. He remains a committed fan of Virginia Tech and the Washington Redskins, and can be found courtside for Charlotte Bobcats home games.

Joey Logano

Joey Logano brought Sport Clips its first Nationwide Series victory in 2009, winning from the pole at Kansas Speedway. Logano picked up his first NASCAR Nationwide Series win of the 2011 season at the Subway Jalapeno 250 at Daytona International Speedway, and the second of the year for the No. 20 Sport Clips Toyota. That win gave him nine career wins and 16 career pole positions . On the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Logano embarked on his third year in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) in 2011, and was still the youngest competitor on the track. Logano, the driver of the #20 Home Depot Toyota continues to progress in almost every category on the track from his rookie campaign to finish 16th in the 2010 Sprint Cup Standings. In his first year behind the wheel of The Home Depot Toyota, Logano earned three top-five and seven top-10 finishes in 2009 while leading laps at notoriously difficult tracks like Darlington (S.C) Raceway, Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway. That season was a record-breaking year for the driver of the No. 20 Home Depot Toyota Camry. Not only did Logano become the youngest Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year in the 55-year history of the award, but also the youngest Sprint Cup winner in series history at 19 years, one month and four days with a victory in Loudon, N.H. Logano had several other highlights in 2009 including winning the Sprint Fan Vote into the All-Star event at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May, a top-20 finish in the Sprint Cup.

In 2008, in Joey’s third start in the Nationwide Series would be one for the record books. Logano captured the pole at Kentucky Speedway on his way to becoming the youngest winner in Nationwide Series history at 18 years and 21 days on June 14. He would compete in a total of 19 Nationwide Series events – 18 races in the No. 20 and one in the No. 18 Toyotas - earning one win, three poles and 14 top-10 finishes. Logano, along with Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch secured the car owner’s championship for the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Team.

Joey Logano Fan Club

Joey proudly supports several charities, but three are very special to his heart. David's House and the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock are both Northeast-based ventures that take exceptional care of children with severe illnesses. In addition, Joey is heavily involved in the US Paralympics.

Proud Sponsors of JGR MX

Sport Clips has broadened its JGR relationship as an Official Sponsor of the JGRMX Professional Motocross Racing Team. Founded by Coy Gibbs, the son of NFL Hall of Fame Head Coach Joe Gibbs, winner of three Super Bowls, as well as three Sprint Cup Championships and three Nationwide Series Championships, Joe Gibbs Racing, Motocross (officially titled as the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX Team) debuted Jan. 5, 2008 in Anaheim, Calif., at the opening round of the AMA Supercross Championship.

Davi Millsaps was one of the first riders Coy Gibbs approached to ride for his newly formed motocross team back in 2008. Three years after their initial discussions the timing was right for Davi to join the JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha JGRMX Team for 2011. The team recently announced that Millsaps’ contract has been extended through 2012. Millsaps entered his second year with the team at the first round of the AMA Supercross Championship on January 7, 2012 in Anaheim, California.
